Effective August 2026

Active Shooter Prevention Project, LLC (ASPP™) works with schools, hospitals, government agencies, and private organizations on prevention. That work depends on trust, and trust starts with being straightforward about what we collect and why.

This policy is written to be read, not survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us.

What we collect

When you complete a form on this site, we receive what you type into it. That is usually a name, an organization, an email address, a phone number, and a description of what you need. We ask for the minimum required to respond intelligently.

When you visit the site, standard web analytics record general information: pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use Google Analytics for this. It does not tell us who you are.

We do not collect payment information on this site.

Information about your facility

This is the part that matters most, and it is the reason we do not use a generic policy.

When an organization talks to us about prevention, the conversation often turns to specifics: entry points, staffing patterns, response times, gaps someone is worried about. That information describes where people are vulnerable. We treat it accordingly.

Assessment findings, site details, and anything you tell us about a weakness in your environment are held in confidence. We do not publish them. We do not use them as marketing examples. We do not name clients without written permission, which is why our public case material is deliberately general.

If we ever want to reference your organization by name, we will ask first, in writing, and a no costs you nothing.

Why we collect it

To answer your question. To prepare properly for a conversation about your organization. To understand which parts of this site are useful so we can improve the rest.

That is the whole list.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question.

Who else sees it

Service providers who make the site function: our hosting provider, our email provider, and our analytics provider. They process data on our behalf and are bound by their own obligations.

We will disclose information if we are legally required to. If that happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for basic function and for analytics. You can refuse or delete them in your browser settings. The site will still work.

How long we keep it

Inquiry records are retained while there is a business reason to keep them, then removed. Analytics data follows the retention period configured in Google Analytics.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. We apply the same standard to everyone who asks, regardless of location, because one standard is simpler and fairer than several.

Children

This site is intended for adults acting in a professional capacity. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

This site runs over an encrypted connection, and we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise.

Changes

If this policy changes in any way that matters, we will update the effective date above.
