Ty Hewer is a highly accomplished and respected leader in the field of security and crisis management. With over 5 years of experience in the Canadian Armed Forces, Ty has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas of inter-agency coordination, non-standard logistics, and strategic planning. He is a recognized thought leader in the field, having authored a widely-cited white paper on active shooter and hostile event response, and has been sought after for his advice and guidance by organizations across Canada and beyond.
In addition to his military service, Ty has also been a driving force behind the formation of Operational Strategic Services (OSS), a company dedicated to providing critical support to NATO special forces and the private sector in the areas of logistics and supply chain management. He is also deeply committed to improving public safety and community resilience and is currently focused on the formation of the Sentinel Institute, a not-for-profit think tank that brings together subject matter experts to share perspectives and solutions on the complex and challenging issue of armed assailant incidents.
