ASPP™ named Andrew Ball a Senior Advisor, drawing on a career spanning manufacturing, corporate strategy, insurance, and civic leadership that has made him a trusted voice on risk, resilience, workforce development, and economic growth. Prevention is bought by organizations, not by security departments, and he is fluent in the language organizations actually use. ASPP™ was founded by Chris Grollnek, an active shooter expert whose P.R.O. Model™ the Department of Justice selected as “A” national standard and which is in use at some installations and commands across the Department of Defense.

Andrew Ball

Business Strategy & Community Leadership

With a background spanning manufacturing, corporate strategy, insurance, and civic leadership, Andrew has become a trusted voice on risk, resilience, workforce development, and economic growth. As a Senior Advisor to ASPP™, he applies this strategic and community-focused perspective to help organizations build meaningful partnerships, strengthen preparedness, and take prevention-first action before a crisis occurs.

Andrew’s Executive Bio and Experience

Born and raised in Scotland and now a proud U.S. citizen, Andrew Ball brings a global perspective to his work as Chief Marketing Officer for HUB International, one of the world’s largest insurance brokerages. His path to the role was anything but conventional; before joining the insurance industry, Andrew spent years in senior leadership across global manufacturing and corporate strategy in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and holds a BSc from the University of Strathclyde.

At HUB International, Andrew focuses on carrier relationships, market strategy, and building the connective tissue between insurers and the businesses and communities they protect. Andrew’s value lies in understanding, at a strategic level, how organizations think about risk, resilience, and preparedness, and in mobilizing the right people and resources around those needs.

That same instinct for connection drives Andrew’s civic work across Indiana, where he serves on the boards of Conexus Indiana, IPMG, Ascend Indiana, and the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, and has served as campaign chair for United Way. Through these roles, he has become a trusted voice on workforce development, economic growth, and community resilience.

Andrew is honored to bring this blend of business strategy and community leadership to ASPP as a Senior Advisor. He sees prevention-first safety not just as a security issue but as a business and community resilience issue — one where the right partnerships, the right conversations, and the right sense of urgency can help organizations move from awareness to action long before a crisis ever arrives.

Chris, I’m the FBI’s program manager for active shooter situations and on the White House working group seeking ways to prevent gun violence. I wanted to drop a note and let you know that I thought the DOJ video was well done. You address many points that we have been stressing.

I worked with Chris on a case covering several months and found him to be most diligent in handling the requirements of the project from inception to completion. He was always quick to respond to requests for information and assistance and his work product was invaluable to the successful outcome of the case. Chris is very goal oriented and was flexible to employ the necessary tactics and strategies to achieve the goals we had set for the project.

Chris, thanks so much for those kind words. I know my staff is very grateful for your insights and advice on keeping PCM a little safer. I can see God has given you a real calling in this area, and I encourage you to keep at it. At the end of your career, when you are looking back at everything, knowing you did what God called you to do will be worth more than you know. Take this advice from someone on that side of the river! Many blessings to you and safe travels!

I first met Chris Grollnek after the Pulse Nightclub massacre. He’s extremely knowledgeable about best practices regarding active shooters. Chris took great pains to explain law enforcement’s failures when responding to Pulse. He doesn’t talk down to ordinary citizens. Rather, he converses in a manner the layperson can comprehend. I’m very grateful for my professional relationship with Chris Grollnek.

Thank you for presenting at the People’s City Mission on December 10th. Your presentation was greatly appreciated, and I have already shared some of the valuable information you provided with my organization. Your storytelling approach was engaging, although it would have been helpful to know more about the audience’s background and why we were all there. It’s a shame more people couldn’t attend, as your message deserves to be heard by a wider audience. Best of luck in your mission to raise awareness and put an end to these events.
