Google’s #1 Ranked Expert
There is a conversation I have had hundreds of times over the years, and I think about it every time an announcement like this one comes together. It usually starts the same way. Someone in a position of real responsibility a managing partner, a chief operating officer, the head of human resources for a firm with offices in a dozen cities picks up the phone and says some version of the following: we know we need to do something, but everything we have looked at either feels like a compliance checkbox that nobody will remember a week later, or it feels like it is going to frighten our people more than it prepares them. And what they are really asking, underneath that, is whether it is possible to take this subject seriously without making everyone in the building feel like they are training for the worst day of their lives. My answer has always been the same: that is exactly the problem the PRO Model™ was built to solve.
Prevention. Response. Options. Three words that represent a framework built over more than three decades of field experience, graduate research, testimony before the United States Senate, and direct collaboration with the U.S. Department of Justice, the Center for Strategic and International Studies on K Street in Washington, and the Mackenzie Institute in Canada. A framework designed from the very beginning to serve every organization in this country — not just the ones with the largest security budgets or the most sophisticated infrastructure, but the firm full of attorneys and paralegals who came to work this morning thinking about depositions and client calls and court deadlines, and who deserve to go home tonight the same way they arrived.
With that context in mind, I am genuinely humbled to share that Active Shooter Prevention Project, LLC has been selected by one of the largest defense contractors and vendor-aligned law firms in the United States to deliver a comprehensive, full-program active shooter prevention engagement across its entire national footprint. This is a two-year engagement spanning 120 office locations across all 50 states and both U.S. territories, and it will serve thousands of attorneys alongside countless support staff, the kind of scale that tells us the standard we have been building is reaching the people who need it most.

What This Engagement Delivers
Seminar-Style Assessments and In-Person Training. We Come to Every Office, Travel Included, No Exceptions
People consistently tell us after their first engagement with ASPP that the process was easier and more straightforward than they expected — and that the training itself felt completely different from anything they had experienced before. Neither of those things happened by accident. We have spent years building a delivery model that removes every logistical and financial barrier we can control, and a training philosophy that starts from a fundamentally different premise than most of what exists in this space. The program this organization is receiving is built on four integrated elements, each calibrated to the specific environment of a legal workplace and the real human beings who spend their days inside it.

The PRO Model™ has been delivered to audiences at the highest levels of government, law enforcement, and corporate leadership across the country. aspppro.com
Why Organizations Choose ASPP
The Only Standard Selected Twice. The Most Competitive Price in the Country. And the Simplest Organization You Will Ever Work With on Something This Important.
I want to be straightforward about something, because I believe every organization deserves to understand it clearly before making their decision. The PRO Model™ is the only active shooter prevention framework the U.S. Department of Justice has selected as a National Standard — and they made that selection twice, in 2022 and again in 2026. No other program can say that, and that distinction was not given to us. It was earned through years of documented fieldwork, a graduate research foundation, testimony before Congress, and a body of results that withstood rigorous federal scrutiny on two separate occasions. It belongs to every person in the ASPP Community of Experts who has contributed to building it, and I hold it as a responsibility rather than a credential.
We also carry something that no credential can fully represent: three documented saves — real situations in which the work we did with an organization directly prevented a mass casualty event. Those outcomes are what I think about when the pace of this mission feels heavy, and they are what drive us to keep marching forward even when the work is hard.
- We come to every location, travel included. Nationwide service across all 50 states and both U.S. territories, with travel built into qualifying engagements. Every barrier between your organization and genuine prevention training should be removed, and this one is entirely within our control.
- The most competitively priced national standard in the country. We have made a deliberate and non-negotiable commitment that cost will never become the reason an organization chooses not to protect its people.
- Google’s #1 ranked active shooter prevention expert. That ranking was earned over 35 years of real work — field deployments, graduate research, federal testimony, published content, and documented outcomes that no competitor in this space has matched. It is not a paid placement.
- Hope-based training, not fear-based. We lead with what is possible when organizations commit to genuine prevention. The science of trauma-informed learning confirms what our experience has always shown: people who train from a place of confidence retain more, respond better, and protect others more effectively than those who are simply frightened into alertness.
- A growing backlog with clients who return. This is our second enterprise contract of this scale. Organizations come back. New organizations arrive because of what they hear from the ones who have already worked with us.
- The simplest organization you will work with on something this important. Clear scope. Honest pricing. Transparent communication. People who return calls and show up exactly where they said they would.
When I was invited to advise the Center for Strategic and International Studies at their offices on K Street in Washington, and when I was selected to consult for the Mackenzie Institute in Canada, I understood those as responsibilities opportunities to carry this standard further than any one organization can carry it alone. The PRO Model™ was never meant to belong only to the organizations with the deepest resources or the best-connected security teams. It was built for every attorney, every paralegal, every receptionist, every person who deserves to work in an environment where the people around them know what to do before the worst day ever arrives. That is safety across every law office. That is what we are building.
