It is with great sadness that we write this tribute to honor the victims of the recent shooting that occurred in Allen Texas. Our hearts go out to the families, friends, and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.
As members of the Active Shooter Prevention Project (ASPP), we are committed to preventing such incidents. When we received the news of this senseless act of violence, we were reminded just how important our mission is – ASPP aims to make all public locations, including schools and houses of worship, safe from active shooters and domestic terrorism. It’s time we live without worry.
We extend our deepest condolences to the entire Allen community, as well as to the victims, their families, and the first responders who bravely intervened during this crisis. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of them during this difficult time.
The pain and grief that comes with the loss of innocent lives cannot be expressed in words. It is a tragedy that should never be experienced, and yet it is all too familiar in our society. It is up to us to address the root causes of such violence and take concrete steps to prevent it from happening again.
We also recognize the courage and bravery of those who risked their own safety to protect others during the shooting. We are grateful for their selflessness and unwavering commitment to keeping our communities safe.
As we mourn the loss of the victims, we call upon all members of society to come together and work towards preventing future acts of violence. We cannot let fear and hate divide us. Instead, we must unite in our common humanity and strive to create a safer, more peaceful nation for all. It’s time we all work towards #NEVERHERE.
