As a Mom, the tragic events at Sandy Hook Elementary and Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School were the catalysts that propelled me into action.  I knew using the same tools would not be the best way to move forward towards survival if an active shooter were to enter into a school.  That’s when Wingshield was born.  My husband and I created a mobile ballistic device that allowed for a room to be transformed into a safe room within five to seven seconds.  EVERY second matters in these events.  The Wingshield safely secures everyone and is particularly useful in public spaces such as schools, houses of worship, government centers, shopping malls and office buildings.

Our mission at Wingshield®, Inc. is to provide peace of mind and protection to communities everywhere. We believe that everyone has the right to feel safe and secure, and our product offers a solution to the growing concern of active shooter incidents. We are committed to making the Wingshield an AFFORDABLE and accessible option for an active shooting event.

The P.R.O. model from ASPP is an excellent addition to Wingshield®, Inc.’s mission. The Prevention, Response, and Options components provide a comprehensive approach to addressing the threat of active shooter incidents and other acts of violence. Our product fits perfectly into the Preparedness and Options sections of the model.

The Wingshield is particularly vital for classrooms and schools with special needs children. These students often require additional time and assistance to evacuate in an emergency situation, making them more vulnerable to harm. With the Wingshield, teachers and students have a safe place to shelter in place until help arrives. This peace of mind can be invaluable in high-stress situations.
