As a Mom, the tragic events at Sandy Hook Elementary and Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School were the catalysts that propelled me into action. I knew using the same tools would not be the best way to move forward towards survival if an active shooter were to enter into a school. That’s when Wingshield was born. My husband and I created a mobile ballistic device that allowed for a room to be transformed into a safe room within five to seven seconds. EVERY second matters in these events.
