We are thrilled to announce that Scott Hyderkhan has joined the Active Shooter Prevention Project team of elite advisors. With over 39 years of combined law enforcement and military experience, Scott is a highly experienced and accomplished professional in the field of active shooter response.

Scott served in the US Army for 20 years as a US Army Ranger, where he spent the majority of his career serving in the 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment. Following his military service, Scott transitioned to law enforcement and spent 19 years as a Patrol Officer for the Mercer Island, WA Police Department. During his time with the department, Scott held various roles including Special Operations (Tactical Response Unit/Civil Disturbance Unit), Bicycle Patrol, Marine Patrol/Boat Operator, Active Shooter Instructor, Equipment Modernization Officer, and Risk Assessment/Rapid Responder Planner.

Scott is also an accomplished author, having written the Active Shooter Response Training Manual and the Active Shooter Response Training: Lone Wolf to Coordinated Attacks 2nd Edition. In 2011, he founded Kinetic Tactical Training Solutions LLC, a company dedicated to the pursuit of evolving the active shooter response in tactical, training, and command doctrine. Scott’s company has helped train law enforcement agencies, schools, and businesses across the country to improve their response to active shooter incidents.

With his extensive experience and expertise, Scott is a respected expert in his field and is regularly called upon to share his knowledge and expertise with others. He is dedicated to helping improve the safety and security of our communities and has been a leader in the development of active shooter response strategies.
